FMG’s Myriam Yagoubi to open CompositeWorld’s Carbon Fiber Event Series in a week’s time

With one week to go, the Carbon Fiber Event Series Presented by CW is set to open with a timely discussion on the state of the carbon fiber market. The series runs from January 28 to February 19, 2026, and brings together industry experts to examine key developments shaping carbon fiber technology and its end markets.

The opening virtual event on January 28 will feature Dr Myriam Yagoubi, Manager at Future Materials Group, who will present on carbon fiber supply and demand, alongside an outlook for composite aerostructures manufacturing. Her presentation is based on FMG’s market data and experience across materials, industrial markets, and strategic advisory.

Carbon fiber remains a relatively small material by volume, but it plays an essential role in applications where weight, strength, and durability are critical. Aerospace, wind energy, and selected automotive uses continue to rely on its unique performance. As these markets evolve, a clear understanding of how supply and demand are developing has become increasingly important.

Myriam’s presentation will outline how the global supply landscape has changed in recent years. New capacity has been added, the supplier base has expanded, and Chinese producers now represent a significant share of reported capacity.

With one week remaining, the opening session of the Carbon Fiber Event Series offers a timely, data-led perspective on the challenges and opportunities shaping the carbon fiber industry, based on FMG’s expertise in the field.

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
